Sri lankan owned foreign company currently doing business with sri lankan tea companies , looking for a country agent who can take care interets of mother company.
he selected candidate will be responsible for procurement of Ceylon Black Tea in Auction-allocated catalogues and all tea expertise activities related to categorisation of tea.
The key accountabilities of the role would include;
· Performing supply and price forecasting, supplier compliance, ensuring accuracy and quality of purchases and packaging and managing customer accounts
· Tea tasting, sampling, buying and delivery –meet production plans
· executing key supplier interactions related to quality and supply improvement in allocated catalogues/grades
APPLICANT PROFILE
The candidate must possess high level of sensory evaluation capability and talent. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation skills with the ability to work under challenging conditions are required. Previous experience of functions within supply chain, preferably in procurement, tea export trade or tea plantation management is required.
