Hotel Orchid Inn is located on a quiet road just off Galle Road in Wellawatte, Colombo 6 (opp Roxy Cinema). A hotel with 28 rooms and a pleasant garden restaurant, we are looking for a Chief Chef and a Receptionist to join our team.
Hotel Orchid Inn is medium-sized tourist hotel with an outdoor restaurant and bar area.
CHIEF COOK/CHEF
We are looking for a person with extensive experience in high quality restaurants and hotel kitchens in Sri Lanka and/or overseas with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our team. He should have a proven track record, the ability to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen to the highest standards, and the desire to satisfy our customers.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, hardworking and willing to work long hours. He should be able to manage and instruct kitchen helpers and assistant cooks. Recognized professional qualifications are advantageous.
Candidates possessing expertise in traditional Sri Lankan cuisine and Western style dishes are preferred, with fair knowledge in pastry making and experience in oriental cooking. The ideal candidate should possess a high level of creativity and flair to create menus and dishes favourable to the hotel and customer requirements. Preference will be given to candidates living locally.
RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR (Male)
We are looking for a male between age 29 - 45 years with experience in administrative and receptionist duties in hotels in Sri Lanka and/or overseas with a minimum of 4-5 years experience as a Receptionist to join our team.
The ideal candidate must be smart, energetic, trust-worthy, with exceptional PR and customer handling skills. The candidate must be able to work in customer focused culture and exceed customer expectations. He must be smart, pleasant, well-dressed and friendly.
He should have excellent communication and writing skills in English. Oral Sinhala and/or Tamil will be an advantage.
The candidate must have a high level of computer literacy and ability to work with minimum supervision. He must be able to maintain and update the company profile and bookings on online websites and respond on time to customer emails and online inquiries. Excellent telephone etiquette and PR skills are essential.
RENUMERATION
