Senior Software Engineer

Headquartered in Australia, PEAK Adventure Travel Group is the largest adventure travel company in the world and consists of 20 businesses around the world and is part of the TUI travel group (www.tuitravelplc.com). PEAK opened its Sri Lankan development centre Summit in Jan 2013 to develop IT solutions for the growing global businesses.

We are looking for a talented Senior engineer to join our growing team of Software Engineers in Colombo.

Job role

The role will require you to perform the following duties.

·            Design, develop, implement and test software systems

·            Provide advisory to overall project

·            Enhance and improve existing software

·            Close liaison with stakeholders to scope requirements and receive feedback on solutions

·            Commit to deadlines and provide a high standard of documentation

·            Work independently to and within a team to deliver outcomes on time and within budget

·            Ensure technical solutions are in line with business requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Skills and Attributes

·            Computer science or Software Engineering Qualifications

·            Experience with ASP.Net, C# with .NET framework 3.5 or above.

·            Experience writing complex SQL queries

·            Experience with web services, WCF or REST services.

·            Exposure to WPF will be an advantage

·            Exposure to  tools such as nUnit, Code Metrics, Style cop, Jenkins, Resharper and Github will be an advantage

·            Estimation skills and experience

·            Strong technical documentation skills

·            Strong verbal and written communication skills

·            Strong time management and personal productivity skills

·            Ability to interact with business and other technical resources effectively

·            High standards of customer service

·            Willingness to travel for work purposes
