Manager - Engineering (Midigama)

Job Profile

In his multi-faceted role our new Manager — Engineering will take the lead in managing the overall cycle of new projects including planning, scheduling, recourse management and monitoring controls to ensure timely achievement of expectations. He will be responsible for the overall activities of the engineering section geared to respond to diverse organizational needs. The responsibilities also include liaising with internal departments and external suppliers, designing and monitoring new electrical and mechanical systems, managing the spare parts and consumables directory. Safety and health compliance, energy management, as well as, providing the leadership to support staff and preparation of timely reports and evaluations are also on the card.

Candidate Profile

• BSc. Engineering or Professional qualification with minimum 10 years. experience in the relevant filed or Diploma with 12 years' experience. • Conversant in design software, formulation and evaluation software (SAP, MS Projects etc) • Good knowledge in project formulation and evaluation • Good knowledge in preparation of investrnent and maintenance budgets • Capable of coordinating with internal and external parties, related to licensing, regulatory affairs and audits • Team player with proven leadership skills, adoptability, motivation and ability to excel under pressure • Excellent communication skills including fluency in English

Electrical Engineer (Ekala)

Job Profile

Your job vvill revolve around all electrical functions of the wheel manufacturing process including management and maintenance of all electrical machinery and components, automation work, electrical engineering functions and energy management. You will lead a team of electricians in ensuring that all electrical aspects of the division are well managed, paying attention to preventive and repair work. You will develop and ensure factory energy management initiatives.
Candidate Profile • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum of 2 years' experience or NDT in Electrical Engineering with minimum of 4 years' experience in a large-scale manufacturing sector • Excellent knowledge in Engineering Automation (PLC, CNC machine maintenance) with hands-on knowledge of EA software • Proven leadership skills in managing a team and timely delivery of quality work • Ability to evaluate and present information • A good command of written and spoken English
