we are looking for post of Accountant
Ilma International Girl's School invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the following Non Academic vacancy.
POST OF ACCOUNTANT
Skills and Qualifications
• Highly competent mature individual. Experience in similar capacity preferably in the field of Education.
• Highly organized and be able to work positively and constructively and must be conversant in computerised accounting packages preferably Sage 50.
• Able to rnaintain effective working relationship, respond well to stress and have good communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, effective communication/interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
• Associate Membership of CA/CIMA I ACCA or Bachelors Degree in Finance from a recognised University. Finalist of CA/CIMA/ACCA will also be considered.
• Adequate knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience with at least one year in a supervisory grade.
Responsibilities
• Coordinating and supervising all accounting functions of the School and liaising with Managers in other sections to achieve organizational goals.
• Preparation of periodic Financial and Management Accounting Statements, interpreting results and advising management as appropriate.
• Providing necessary guidance to the senior management on effective utilization of the School's funds and resources and carrying out Treasury Functions.
• Liaising with Auditors, Banks, State Institutions, suppliers and other relevant parties, on financial matters, and ensuring timely compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Cash forecasting, preparation of overall Budget of the School under the direction of the Finance Manager and monitoring of actual performance against the Budgets.
• Acquisition of latest financial and accounting knowledge including accounting standards and dissemination of same to subordinates.
General Requirements:
• A good command of the English Language and IT literacy.
• In Are with the Shariah compliance of the School, vacancy will be filled with an eligible female.
