Group Manager - Industrial Engineering

Responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations that support to improve and develop the process and systems in a cost effective manner in order to maintain the planned production efficiency and to increase productivity.

You're Duties

1. Overseeing the Work Study Section to ensure that the industrial engineering techniques are adopted in the manufacturing process.
2. Selecting low performing operations, carrying out method studies, identifying areas for improvement, suggesting and implementing solutions to improve the efficiency level of low performing operations.
3. Conducting time, method and production studies to enhance efficiency, establishing standard times for operations where standards have now been determined and updating the standard data bank accordingly.
4. Coordinating with the supervisors and implementing the appropriate layout (work distribution plan) of lines to facilitate an optimum performance.
5. Preparing videos, time studies and proposing methods, if any discrepancies arise between the standard times or methods set; and forwarding the observations and comments to the production management.
6. Observing pre-productin sample preparation, coordinating and carrying out pilot studies for new styles to identify the most suitable work methods and possible bottle necks and taking corrective action in coordination with other managers.
7. Following-up on motion economy and behavioral aspects in the Training section and coordinating with the training executive to ensure that the required numbers of trainees are being trained in the training center.
8. Ensuring that proposed improvements are implemented by the Production Department and that planned targets are achieved.

Qualifications

1. Should have a degree/diploma in Industrial Engineering from a recognized University / institution
2. Minimum 10 years' experience in the relevant field
3. Exposure to ISO 9000-2001 and 5S, Lean Manufacturing, ERP and obtaining GSD License would be an added advantage
4. Excellent command of communication in English and Computer Literacy
