FCE's research team provides an in depth analysis of important economic, sector and geopolitical trends that are likely to have an impact on the performance of the stock market and client portfolios. The research process is based on a rigorous fundamental discipline using both top down and bottom up processes to identify a stock's intrinsic worth. Current research products include Daily, Weekly, Country, and Investment Strategy and company reports. We are now looking for an appropriately qualified, experienced and dynamic individual to head our research function.

The Role

 

  • Formulate the equity research and macro-economic strategy for the company based on quantitative and qualitative factors.
  •  Supervise the fundamental analysis of listed companies using financial models and company visits and issuing investment recommendations.
  •  Meeting with senior management of listed companies, government officials and industry figures to obtain fundamental data and views necessary for preparing of fundamental research reports.
  •  Leading the investment idea-generation process and forming an in-depth view of the market and sectors in absolute terms and relative to other global markets.
  •  Supporting the firm's sales efforts by meeting with clients and providing in-depth analysis.
  •  Preparing, marketing the material and the presentations for road-shows and institutional client visits.
  •  Conducting meetings with sales staff to deliver market and stock ideas in order for them to provide timely and research backed investment advice to clients.

The Person

  •  Minimum 7 years relevant experience. Out of the box thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Solid academic and professional qualifications. A Bachelors degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting/Business or professional qualifications in accountancy (eg ACA/CIMA). A CFA or MBA would be a distinct advantage.

 

  •  Solid understanding of local and international economics/capital markets is essential.
