LEGAL ADVISOR

Essential requirements:

Qualification / Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

• Law qualification with ideally 4-6 years in company law and policy
• Good experience of public law including labour law and statutory compliance
• Strong analytical skills, with an ability to grasp new and complex concepts and areas of law quickly and accurately
• Intellectual ability and capable of analyzing problems rigorously and from all angles, showing sound practical judgment as well as academic ability
• The ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team engaged in complex cases; actual project and/or people management experience is desirable but not essential
• An ability to balance priorities and coordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines and deal with high workloads, together with a willingness to be flexible
• Excellent oral and written communication skills – candidates must be approachable and constructive
• Good interpersonal and team-working skills
• Good PC skills, e.g. MS Word, Excel
• Good communication skills in English and Sinhala; Tamil is an advantage
