Wavenet is a leading multinational company with operations across Australia, the Pacific, Asia and Africa. We specialise in telecommunications and provide our carrier customers with innovative solutions that solve real business and technical challenges for them. We are expanding our market footprint and need a capable, experienced Bid/Tender Manager to join our ranks and help take the company to the next level. The ideal candidate will have
- Ability to read and interpret instructions carefully, and manage every aspect of preparing multimillion dollar bids for projects in Sri Lanka and overseas
- Use telco industry experience to understand complicated technical information
- Fully comprehend what the customer needs and excellent written communication skills is absolutely essential to articulate how Wavenet's solutions will meet their requirements.
- Prepare accurate, comprehensive and complex yet understandable bids within limited timeframes by coordinating with internal & external stakeholders
- Prepare project costing and pricing taking into consideration complex international logistics, taxes, etc
- Cope with a substantial amount of responsibility, remain calm under severe pressure, whilst working in "pressure cooker" situations
- Excellent organisational, coordination and analytical skills with an eye for details is essential
- Time management, efficiency, people skills and working with zero supervision is very important to "get the job done"
- Provide quick and assertive leadership, yet be tactful in motivating other members of a bid team to produce a successful submission.
- Willing to work long hours when required - to meet important submission deadlines
- A Commercial or Project Management background with legal awareness would be advantageous
- Mainly office-based with some external meetings and site visits which could involve overseas travel
- Ability to train subordinates
- Has a strong network of contacts.
