The Hotel Grand Hotel, once the adorable private residence of the British Governor, Sir Edward Barnes and the hill country's premier resort hotel since 1891, consists of 154 guest rooms, the "Barnes Hair Main Restaurant, "Magnolia" twenty four hour Restuarant, the acclaimed "Grand Indian" authentic Indian Restaurant, and the best known a state of the art-wine bar.

The Hotel classified as 4 Star, was officially declared a "National Heritage" in the year 2007. It was also recommended as a "Must Visit" location by the 'National Geographic Traveller' Magazine, for the year 2012.
Vacancies exist for the following Positions

1. THAI CHEF—SENIOR SOUS CHEF LEVEL - MIDDLE MANAGEMEN

• (Applicants should have 05 - 08 years' experience in a similar capacity with an excellent knowledge of Authentic Thai cuisine. A Thai National presently performing in the same capacity in Sri Lanka is preferred. )

2. SENIOR CHEF DE PARTIE — INDIAN CUISINE

• (Applicants should have 03- 05 years' experience in a similar capacity, and a very good knowledge of Authentic North and South Indian cuisines. Should possess a sound educational background, good communication skills, with knowledge of English )

3. COMMIS I, COMMIS II AND COMMIS III —COLD KITCHEN

• (Applicants should have a minimum of three years' experience in a similar capacity. Should possess a sound educational background, good communication skills, with knowledge of English )
