Manager - Corporate & Margin Trading Risk — REF 111338

Job Profile:

  • Support the Chief Manager - Corporate & Margin Trading Risk, in verifying Corporate Banking credit proposals to ensure compliance in relation to the risk appetite of the Bank Ensure the Equity Margin Trading Portfolio is within approved policy guidelines Proactively resolve possible issues related to risk and advise respective Account Relationship Managers on required action Periodically submit details of identified shortcomings in the credit appraisal process and recommend any changes to improve the existing credit approval process
  • Play an intermediary role in resolving issues associated with Security Documentation and following-up on related matters

Prerequisites:

  • 8 years experience in Banking/Finance out of which 4 years were at Assistant Manager/Manager level

Job Profile:

  • Manage credit quality of existing Cards portfolio by analysing vintage performance and recommending areas of improvement in the underwriting policy
  • Analyse risk/reward of the portfolio and review product pricing
  • Analyse delinquency and profitability performance of score attributes and give recommendations on sales strategy
  • Support Cross Sell Initiatives of Marketing to acquire new Credit Cards.
  • Safeguard the Bank from any potential credit losses
  • Involve and drive the implementation of scoring models and behavioural models

Prerequisites:

  • 7 years experience in Banking of which 2 years should be at Assistant Manager /Manager level Credit/Relationship Management with exposure to Corporate/Retail & SME Credit
  • A Degree or a full/part qualification from a recognised institution would be an added advantage
  • A good knowledge of the theoretical and practical skills in lending and financial analytics Fair understanding of trade financing and treasury operations and security documentation
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • An excetlent track record in Credit Quality Management in cards is an advantage
  • Minimum of part qualification in Banking (Completion of at least 4 subjects at DBF level) or CIMA/CIM/ACCA/ACA (completion of the 3rd stage)
  • In-depth knowledge of evaluating portfolio risk/reward
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
