Products Market awareness - increase awareness on products on products and markets amongst the sales team to meet customer needs and exploit market opportunities

Our client who is in to business telephony (Super Receptionist, Smart IVR & Super Fax) is on the lookout for a Sales Manager (SME) to start and develop their "Cloud Telephony Platform" here in Sri Lanka. The ideal person should have hands on experience in selling Software Business Solutions to the SME market, selling hosting services, email accounts, SMS marketing etc.

The responsibility of the candidate would be as follows:

  • SME Business Target achievement - Achieve targeted sales & profit levels for the SME business in SL
  • Product Programs - Structure product programs for SME and lending business and take credit approvals and continuous improvement of product offerings
  • Business Plans - Budgeting, business plans & forecasting
  • Human Resource Management - Deploy sales staff through on-job-training and coaching and manage their performance to ensure required results
  • Marketing - Co-ordinate with marketing team to plan and implement marketing plans, campaigns etc
  • Sales target review - Set sales targets for the sales force in co-ordination with Head of Sales and monitor their achievement to ensure that budgeted sales targets are met
  • New Markets / Customers - Develop new markets and customers to enhance sales and market share
  • Products / Market awareness - increase awareness on products on products and markets amongst the sales team to meet customer needs and exploit market opportunities

Skills & Experience

  • A degree in the marketing field from a recognized university
  • Minimum 5 years managerial level experience in the SME sector is compulsory
  • Experienced in managing a team
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Strong selling & negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
