SmartMarket is a dynamic and rapidly expanding Classified Ads site.  Constantly pushing the boundaries of online marketing and web development solutions. We consist of a young group of passionate strategic thinkers, creative minds and technical specialists. SmartMarket is an international company and are involved in many highly interesting projects.

Currently, we are seeking a skilled web developer with a good sense of design to be a key team player in the dynamic development team and provide front-end and back-end solutions.

We are located at Level - 3,11, Arthurs Place, Colombo 4. The position is a full-time job.

The chosen applicant will have:

• Senior engineer level experience.
• An expert understanding and ability to hand-code websites using expert technical skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Very good knowledge of PHP and knowledge of Zend Framework.
• Very good knowledge of MySQL.
• Good knowledge of Apache Web Server.
• Good knowledge of jQuery and web services.
• Have an understanding of object oriented concepts.
• Experience of scrum is a plus.
• Knowledge of the range of web browsers and their rendering engines.
• An understanding of the issues regarding web accessibility and web usability.
• An understanding of security issues.
• Enthusiasm and true passion to develop your career within a commercial web company with it's own products.
• The ability to follow set internal coding standards and contribute to improving them The ability to maintain excellent coding standards.
• Have solid english communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work in a team and independently.
• A good attitude and strong work ethic.
