Role :

• You will provide second level technical support for global customers via live telephone support, customer generated web queries, and other support channels, including on-site operations, as required.
• Perform root cause analyses and resolve software faults in accordance with service level agreements.
• Undertake project specific activities such as developing technical documentation, specialized training or utilities/tools as required by customers and/or the support organization.
• Maintain on-going record of problem analysis and resolution activity in on-line call tracking system.
• Create and update technical content in on-line knowledge base.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Essential Criteria:
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering or other related discipline.
• Knowledge in Unix, Linux and My SQL preferably in Oracle products.
• Knowledge in Java including coding exposure to assist in troubleshooting analysis will be a strong plus.
• Excellent English language spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong customer facing skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Willingness to travel for periods of time when required.
• Ability to work as part of a globally distributed and a diverse team.
• Knowledge / experience in bash scripting, Perl scripting, Linux/Unix administration & oracle database administration will be desirable.
• Ability to acquire and apply new technical knowledge quickly.
• Prior commercial experience in a technical customer support escalation point would be a certain plus point.
