We do indeed to fill up the employment of Computer Technician. This function provides Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software associated with our client’s workstation/Servers and applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and configure network components, servers, hubs and associated services
  • Setup and maintain basic network operations, including backup of files, monitoring of system performance and system integration
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
  • Prepares for disaster management, i.e. emergency disks, disk images, hardware backups, etc.
  • Maintain records and databases pertaining to network operations
  • Upgrade network hardware and software components as required
  • Install, upgrade and configure network printing, directory structures, rights, security, software and files services
  • Interview users to collect information about problems and leads users through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error
  • Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to appropriate staff
  • Log and track issues using problem management database, and maintains history records and related problem documentation
  • Answers incoming help desk calls and email for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies when required
  • Maintain records on equipment installation, repairs and maintenance
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding software and hardware support issues
  • Rotate on-call and weekend responsibilities for computer, network and telecom support
  • Research and test hardware and software potentially applicable to our client's operations
  • Assists in IS training

Experience:

  • Microsoft Server Products (Server 2003/2008, Exchange server, SQL Server, ISA Server)
  • Microsoft Client OS (Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7)
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Linux OS (Desktop and Server)
  • Cisco Routers and Switches
  • Network connection issues
  • Expert PC hardware, software, printer & peripheral troubleshooting

Requirements:

  • Must have MCP and A+
  • MCSA, MCSE, CCNA as an added advantage
  • 3+ years of Field experience required
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Strong customer interface; administration of meetings (setup, testing and user instruction at all meetings)
  • Valid Driving License
