We are on the urgent lookout for a Supply Chain Financial Controller for one of the premier FMCG Multinationals. You should have a sound financial background in relation with supply chain. You should be a fully qualified in CIMA/ACCA/CHARTERED ACCOUNTANCY and a MBA. If you are on the lookout for a challenging role this is your opportunity to join a world class team.

The Job:

Monthly reporting:

  • Adequate input of Supply relating data into country reporting
  • Oversee monthly close process, ensuring completeness and accuracy of account balances. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Timely completion of Supply reporting, including proper analysis of all Supply variances:
  • Factory Operating Statement/Industrial Margin
  • Supply scorecard
  • Headcount reporting
  • Fixed cost management. Controller should identify and recommend possible opportunities for cost savings
  • Work with PPV Controller and Procurement team to understand and adequately communicated drivers for purchase price variances
  • Work with factory management team (and challenge) in the implementation of best practices and controls to achieve factory objectives:
  • Cost variances (material and conversion)
  • Efficiencies (labor, waste)
  • Inventory levels
  • Follow-up of projects.

Cost controlling:

  • NPD’s/EPD’s
  • Prepare high level cost estimates at start of project including documentation of assumptions
  • Calculate and inform responsible people for changes of prices and assumptions
  • Review and control of commitments made for NPD’s
  • Transfer prices
  • Provide timely transfer price changes to inter-company and intra-company
  • Follow-up of main variances.

Inventory Controlling:

  • Perform analysis to ensure Raw, Packaging, WIP, and Finished Goods are correctly stated.
  • Work with site Materials teams to perform annual physical inventory count
  • Co-ordination and control on regular stock counts
  • Ensure potential obsolete inventory is properly provided for and managed off the system in a timely manner

Co-packers:

  • Cogs management
  • Registration and follow-up on commitments
  • Comparison with in-house production
  • Review and tracking of contracts with External Procurement team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance required, MBA will be an advantage.
  • Fully qualified in CIMA/ACCA/CHARTERED ACCOUNTING
  • 8+ years experienced in financial management
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and inventory accounting systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
