Tropical & Environmental Disease and Health Associates (TEDHA) is a Colombo based Health consulting organization incorporated in Sri Lanka.

TEDHA is implementing a program funded by the Global Fund (TGF) towards the elimination of Malaria in Sri Lanka. This is underway in the Eastern Province and Mannar and kilinochchi Districts in the Northern Province. TEDHA works alongside the Government’s  Anti-Malaria Campaign (AMC)  and Sarvodaya in this program.

The vacancy exists in TEDHA’s Colombo Office.

This position involves the handling of all sensitive and confidential correspondence of the Program Director. The individual will interact with all levels of persons and also maintain all project files and correspondence, tracking of all documentation as well as coordinate and organize project teams. The position will also involve in various administrative/ management duties.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all the correspondence and activities of the  program director and transmit responses in a timely manner
  • Establish confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain a systematic filing system and record keeping coordinate Program field visits and maintain all relevant documents methodically
  • Liaise with local transportation and hotel arrangements for travelers of the program
  • Attend to all program meetings and maintain minutes in a prompt manner
  • Handle all foreign travel arrangements for the Program director and Core Consultant Team when necessary
  • Maintain Head Office esthetics, staff welfare activities and attend to visitors
  • Supervise and be responsible for the Head Office functions, meetings and workshops
  • When required will need to travel to the field
  • Provide oversight to Office Aides

Position requirement

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Fluent in English both in written and oral communication with Sinhala/ Tamil
  • Proficient in MS Office applications is mandatory efficiency in office administration
  • Pleasant disposition
  • Be able to start immediately
