We are currently looking for an experienced General Manager in software development to join our team. Preferably someone from a technical / project background and great commercial thinker. The role is pivotal for developing and growing the right software development team to deliver projects at an international level.
General Manager:
- The overall general management of the software development team
- Managing the quality and growth of the software development team
- Managing software development projects with a high level of client satisfaction and professionalism.
- Developing strategies to ensure the team is utilized
- Providing management reports and input to the management strategies as required
- Able to communicate affectively between internal departments,clients and partners
- Training,developing and improving team members’technical skills,moral and understanding and improving of company processes and methodology
- Maintaining a harmonious working environment
- Travel outside of Sri Lanka when required.
- Ability to represent the company to the focused communities
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years working experience
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in a managementsleadership role;
- Project management and work process management capabilities;
- An understanding of the software development methodologies;
- Strong people management skills;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Excellent communication and written skills in English.
- Technical Experience in Java and Microsoft Technology stacks(Past or present)
- Sales or marketing experience would be an advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Other known industry qualifications would be an advantage
