Assistant Line Manager - Trainee

We are an internationally reputed BOI approved rubber products manufacturing company in Piliyandala, catering exclusively to the export market. With expansion and development plans of the company, we seek to employ dynamic, result oriented and self-motivated young individuals for the above position.

The Job

Execution of Compounding, Rotocure and Pressing processes in enhanced productivity levels while ensuring safety as per production plan.

Providing leadership to motivate the production team and coordinate with other departments ensuring smooth flow of operations.

Qualifications:

·         GCE A/L all subjects passed in Maths or Bio Science stream.

·         Any professional qualification in engineering or polymer production will be advantageous.

·         Should be able to work in Sinhala and English.

Responsibilities

·         Responsible for Production Planning together with the Senior Production Manager, Export Department and other Departments.

·         Responsible for obtaining the required raw materials to maintain an uninterrupted production

·         Responsible to run a safe Production Line and ensure its smooth operation

·         Responsible for reporting all engineering issues to the Engineering Department.

Duties

·         Reports directly to the Senior Production Manager

·         Assist Senior Production Manager in Production Planning & documentation

·         Assist the Senior Production Manager in achieving production goals

·         Assist the Senior Production Manager in hiring required personnel

·         Report to Senior Production Manager on improvement to the production Line.

·         Supervises the proper maintenance and lubrications of all machines.

Training will be provided at relevant departments of the company.

Working hours will be from 8:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays. Also, in the alternative, he should be willing to do 8 hour shifts in a 24 hour operation However, the candidate may have to work longer hours as and when necessary.

Remuneration: Suitable Candidates are placed on Executive Grade. More than Rs.25,000/- depending on the level of relevant qualifications and exposure of the candidate including Medical insurance cover.
