Trainee Assistant Legal Officer
Applications are invited from qualified, result oriented, dynamic, young and experienced persons to be a part of Bank of Ceylon's Legal Division.
Qualifications & Experience
· Attorney-at-Law & Notary Public.
With
· 3 years active practice and experience in court work in civil side, litigation, examination in title to land and notary work, labor and industrial court work.
Other Attributes
· Computer literacy and good command in English Language are essential.

Terms and Conditions
· Training period will be 01 year on a training agreement with provision to absorb into the permanent cadre as Assistant Legal Officer if found suitable at a special examination conducted by the Bank and if the general conduct during the training period is satisfactory.
· A monthly training allowance of Rs. 25,000/- (all inclusive) will be paid during the training period and upon selection to the Assistant Legal Officer grade, the successful trainees will be placed on the following salary scale.
· (Gross salary at initial point as at December 2012 is Rs.58,181/30 including Cost of Living Allowance of Rs.24,680/09 which is variable.)
· During the one year period of training the Trainees will be entitled to 07 days Casual Leave and 07 days Sick Leave.
· A post will be subject to the general terms and conditions of the Bank's service, but outside the normal Banking stream (closed service).
· Should be prepared to serve in any part of the country.
