To develop patterns and follow up on the sample development and approval process in order to ensure products are cut and sewn to customer specified standards and transfer all the details from development site to the production units without any failure

Your responsibilities include;

·         Liaise with the merchandisers in the event measurement adjustments/ feasibility of the sample construction is required and prepare base patterns for Columbia, whilst coordinating with CAD/CAM to obtain markers and forward main material and trim consumption to the merchandising team for customer approval, in order for fabric to be ordered in a timely manner.

·         Ensure that the Team Leader is informed on the capacity requirement in order to produce the samples in consulta-tion with the Operations manager Et plan out the sewing accordingly .

·         Prepare the Costing for the patterns created in coordination with CAD, Customer and pass on the information to the merchandiser

·         Ensure that all technical related information pertaining to new styles are handed over to the relevant technical representative who will in return conduct the PP meetings at the relevant plant

·         Participate at development meetings in order to decide on samples which are to be developed, trims to be utilized whilst arriving at technical/construction decisions based on sample sketches along with the Team Lead Et Dispatch placement boards in a timely manner to relevant printer in order to facilitate on time production (for SS/Bulk)

·         BULK

·         Finalize the pattern/s for bulk production

·         Prepare the ordering YY requisition sheet by Liaising with CAD and release the consump-tion for the buy

·         Ensure that the Spec &  schematics are completed in an orderly manner prior to the buy Practice MOS initiatives during day to day functions such as

·         PDCA

·         Point Kaizan

·         SQDCM

·         Contribute to the implementation and sustaining of Lean initiatives whilst driving Lean objectives to achieve the set KPIs and ensuring that the individual KPIs are met to the required standard

·         Coordinate with the Liaison Office and Merchandisers and ensure that the samples are available prior to the PP meeting in order for a smooth transition in information etc.

Qualifications and Experience;

·         Degree in a relevant field, Certificate in pattern making or relevant qualification

·         2-3 years practical experience in pattern making procedures

·         Understanding on CAD, CAM

·         Analytical skills, Communication Skills, Negotiation Skills is a must
