Safety Engineer

To ensure that all Internal SEU's are instilled with proper Environmental Health and Safety standards as per organizations  requirement whilst evaluating and monitoring the performance of same in order to ensure effective implementation of the ESH system

Your responsibilities include :

·         Plan and implement Health and Safety management systems across all internal SBU's to meet the required standards of customers, 150 14001, OH5A5 18001 and other international standards and practices by coordinating with relevant plant representatives and external organizations such as SGS to ensure the effectiveness of same

·         Involve in developing and reviewing BD (Environmental Health & safety) related policies and procedures across all SOU's by coordinating with the divisional Sustainability team for further advice and guidance on same

·         Update the ESH internal audit tool on a regular basis and conduct internal audits at each SBU every six months whilst. prepare, necessary reports/ documentation and forward same to the relevant personals for their reference/ perusal.

·         Conduct training sessions on ESH management system as and when the need arises. for both Team Member and Executive/ Management level employees in order to create/ facilitate proper awareness of same

·         Liaise with the 806 sustainability team on a regular basis and work on project evaluations {E.g.: Energy/ water projects), order to monitor performance and ensure the effectiveness of same

·         Work with all internal SBU's within the MAS Active cluster and support them in achie0ng ISO 14001 and OHASS 18001 certification whilst, guiding them to maintain required standards with continuous improvement

·         (Includes pro5echng input/ consultancy across the organization i.e..MAS Group, to facilitate the achievement of ISO 14001)

Perform the following duties in an accurate/ timely manner in order to effectively contribute to the implementation of sustainable projects:

·         Work with the Environment Sustainability Steering Team /ESST) on special projects as and when the need arises Provide guidance a. support in selecting/ implementing sustainability projects with the Plant

Qualification s d Experience

Degree in Engineering and/ or other relevant professional qualification

2.3 years of relevant work experience

Interpersonal skills

Presentation skills.
