Application System Administrator

Insight information Technology, a well-reputed company in Oman, established in 2003 and currently a firm specialized into various IT services. The firm is undergoing an expansion of its offerings, and will therefore require additional workforce to cater for such expansion.
We are in the process of recruiting professional, dynamic, technology savvy individuals.The candidates must possess competitive skills as well as demonstrate earlier work to matchhis skills pool . Key skills shall include the ability manage all regular tasks in relation to the job title in question. Additional skills will be valued to give the candidate a competitive advantage.

Duties

• Responsible for the installation.
• Configuration.
• Administration.
• Protection of high availability application servers for business-critical applications.
• Work closely with development teams and project managers on stabilization of new systems.
• Providing advice for the refinement of existing applications and performance enhancements.
• Assisting colleagues in the integration of various applications and migration tasks.
• Supervising the compatibility application specifications and viability software development
• plans.
• Technical Specifications for hardware and software used in hosting new applications.
• Manage test and production environments in high-availability mode.
• Checking ERD and documentation of the application systems.
• Backup and recovery planning and implementation.
• Experience in 115, SharePoint and Oracle application servers.
• Monitoring and reporting performance levels.
• Expertise in clusters on UNIX, Linux and Windows server environments.
• Ensure compatibility and compliance with web and security standards.

Requirements

• Join the company within a short period.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years experience.
• Additional certifications and IT-related courses will be valued (ITIL, TOGAF).
• Must be a team player and work closely with software/D8 developers.
• A sound knowledge in various application Server environments.
• Skillful with Active directory and security fortification techniques.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Must have positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal (English).
