System Administrator - Virtualization

The ideal candidate should possess skills in Cloud technologies such as Amazon, Open Stack etc. The System Administrator will support production servers that drive our applications, websites and internal functions through installation, configuration and support activities in a multi platform server•based environment. Understanding of TCP / IP Ports and Protocols; Linux scripting (Pert, Bash); Apache / NgineX Web server management. Experience with MySOL server, Postgres, VMware related experience will be advantageous.

Duties

• Update and maintain server installation and configuration procedures and documentation.
• Investigate and troubleshoot server issues; review server event logs.
• Implement, test and document disaster recovery procedures.
• Automate tasks where possible (backups, maintenance).
• Deploying and Configuring services in AWS.
• Conduct performance tuning, server upgrades, and resource optimization for AWS.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with 3 years experience.
• 5+ years relevant experience in similar capacity.
• At least 2 years system administration experience in a Cloud based environment supporting mission critical systems.
• Experience in server administration.
• Management in a multi user software.
• Web development team environment.
• Must be a team player with strong skills in Devlops to work closely with software / web developers.
• Strong Knowledge in Amazon Cloud Services (EC2, VPC etc).
• Knowledge of MySOL administration and replication (preferably in Percona).
• A sound knowledge in Server Hardware.
• Attention to detail and organizational aptitude.
• Must have positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
