Maintenance Executive / Facility Management Executive

Selected Candidate will be reporting to Manager - Administration

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

·         To Plan the routine maintenance, equipment and machinery and attend breakdowns, diagnose faults and oversee time-critical repairs

·         To oversee the work carried out by outside maintenance personnel, such as fitters and technicians

·         To liaise with client departments and outside parties with regard to refurbishment, installation and maintenance related work

·         Provide a prompt and effective response to maintenance problems

·         Provide an outstanding level of support to the needs of staff and, in so doing, gain their respect and appreciation

·         Timely servicing/repairing of the A/C units

·         Supervise maintenance staff in order to ensure a positive and healthy work environment

·         Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, negotiating pricing, collaborating on approved vendor list, keeping vendor list updated and publishing the list for the properties

·         Comply with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements

·         Manage contractors

·         In a case of breakdown of power supply, air conditioners, generators and lifts to arrange immediate

·         Alternative arrangements

·         Minimize the count of break downs

·         Ability to attain and restore any of the breakdowns within the shortest possible time

·         Continuous maintenance of all equipment in an effective manner

Academic qualifications:

·         G. C. E ‘A’ Level

·         National Diploma of Technology (NDT) or equivalent qualification

·         Sound knowledge in Electrical Maintenance, & Mechanical Maintenance

·         Good command of Sinhala a' English (Written a spoken)

·         Computer literacy (Good knowledge of MS Office packages) is an essential

Attitude Required

·         Good team player and ability to correspond and coordinate with other departments as and when necessary.

·         Ability to work in a pressurized environment

Work experience:

·         3 years post qualifying experience in a similar capacity in a reputed organization.
