Post of legal Analyst
Objective:
To support Legal and Compliance Manager in carrying out legal, compliance and litigation activities of the company while supporting corporate secretarial duties of the company and its related Companies.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist to manage legal and litigation matters while ensuring that all legal cases are instituted in Court accurately and followed up in Colombo and outstations.
· Assist in managing the compliance work including providing awareness and guidance to the employees on Compliance tools, policies procedures, laws and regulations applicable for the business.
· Assist to file trademark applications and follow up on the same for registration
· Assist in Company Secretarial work
· Promote and contribute to OH&S targets
· Carryout land registry searches and assist in notarial work
· Carry out internet searches to identify any legal implications affecting the company's business and search and peruse any articles, gazettes etc for any updates/changes to the laws and regulations of the country and any other business related matters and submit summary papers
· Departmental administration work
Qualifications and Skills:
· Degree in Law / Attorney —at-Law
· 03 years experience in a similar capacity
· Must be a self starter and should be able to work with minimum supervision
· Leadership skills and ability to work in a team.
· Fluent in English (written and oral)
· Be computer literate and ability to develop presentations ) Interpersonal skills and ability to work long hours
